Marine Debris Signs Scheduled for Installation! Hooray!

Artwork used in the production of these signs were chosen from our A Healthy Sea Begins With Me art project that took place last winter.  Twelve selections were chosen to represent the dozens of artworks created through the project. Presentations to hundreds of local students allowed us to bring awareness to the cause, effects, and solutions surrounding marine debris.  With funding provided by the Morro Bay National Estuary Program's Community Grant, we were able to produce signs that will be displayed along central coast beaches reminding our locals, visitors and fisherman that our actions matter. In the near future, you be will be able to view the signs at many of your favorite coastal destinations!

On September 21st, we will be hosting a sign installation celebration at Spooner's Cove, Montana de Oro State Park at noon, following the Coastal Cleanup.
