Volunteers needed at Sweet Springs, Saturday Dec 14

Tis the season! For planting willow cuttings, that is… and LOTS of holiday schedule conflicts. It’s the Christmas Bird Count and the Los Osos Holiday Christmas Parade and who knows how many other things. I expect a small turnout, but like Margaret Mead so famously said "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."

So if you don’t have a conflict on Saturday, December 14th from 9am to 12pm, come join us at Sweet Springs Preserve for taking willow cuttings and planting them in the freshwater marshes on the preserve. You can bet that once they take root, they will provide a welcome home to all kinds of passerines. I promise to provide special holiday treats, tools and tips. Meet near the entrance at 4th & Ramona. RAIN CANCELS.
