Odds ’n Ends October at Sweet Springs: It’s that in-between time when our native plants and the weeds are all dormant waiting for those winter rains. It’s the calm before the storm, when plants are ready to go in the ground and the weeds are ready to be pulled. We can still dig some of our perennial veldt grass, and we have a bit of planting to do. We also have some new seedlings that are ready to be potted up so they can grow a few more roots before going into the ground. But it is going to be a quiet 2nd Saturday. This one is being advertised only to our members and our regular volunteers. If you have some other “to-do’s” on the back burner, this might be a good time to tend to them.
This is one (rare) weekend we can make do with fewer volunteers. But we still need some so if you are up for it, come join us at Sweet Springs on Saturday, October 12th from Holly@morrocoastaudubon.org.. We’ll provide plenty of tools, tips & munchies. More info at 239-3928 or
