Changes and Progress: Sweet Springs Update

The MCAS Board wants to alert you to a change that is currently underway at MCAS. Holly Sletteland, our Sweet Springs Preserve Manager, has decided to step down from her role as Preserve Manager. Holly has been dedicated to Sweet Springs for many years now and we will deeply miss her commitment and passion for all of the improvements she implemented. We wish the best for Holly and know that she’ll certainly bring the same expertise and dedication to her next endeavor.

Although we will be in transition for the next month or so, we wanted to let you know that our commitment to the Preserve will not waiver. The Board and other MCAS members have already stepped forward in an unprecedented show of dedication, strength, and support to insure completion of the ongoing management responsibilities, fulfill grant obligations, and move forward with pursuing the public access improvements planned for the eastern section of Sweet Springs.

Be assured that while we seek the necessary approvals and train a new Lands manager, the well being of the preserve will continue to be a priority for MCAS. If you have questions or concerns or would like to be part of the Sweet Springs progress, please contact any of the MCAS Board members at info@morrocoastaudubon.org or call the MCAS Office and Outreach Center at 805-772-1991.
