Birds of Sea and Land at Morro Rock
Claudia Freitas, Biologist and State Park Docent, invites all to join her at Morro Rock to watch cormorants, gulls of various species and age classes, Brown pelicans, and maybe a Common Murre or other surprises. The Rock is also home to two pairs of nesting Peregrine Falcons, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, Common Yellowthroat, various sparrows and the elusive Canyon Wren.
Meet near the restrooms located in the Morro Rock parking lot. Up to a mile of level, gentle walking. Dress for possible WINDY conditions.
