Community Program - April 21st, 7:00pm. International Bird Rescue's Success Story

Monday, April 21st, 7:00pm. International Bird Rescue's Success Story, presented by Dr. Rebecca Duerr

@ El Chorro Park, SLO Botanical Garden Oak Glen Pavilion (across from Cuesta College)

International Bird Rescue (IBR) was formed in 1971 after a disastrous oil spill in San Francisco Bay. Since that time, IBR staff have responded to more than 200 oil spills worldwide. Each year, IBR receives approximately 5,000 aquatic birds between their two, year-round wildlife clinics serving  Los Angeles & San Francisco Bay. Dr. Duerr will tell us about IBR's mission  and some of the remarkable stories of the lives of individual birds after their recovery and release.

April is the time of our annual membership meeting. Officers and committee chairs will be nominated to serve on the Board. A slate will be proposed and an election will be held.

Refreshments will be provided, please bring your own mug.

MCAS Community Programs are usually presented on the third Monday of each month, at the San Luis Obispo Botanical Garden Oak Glen Pavilion, in El Chorro Regional Park, on Highway 1 across from Cuesta College. All MCAS Community Programs are free and open to the public. As always, all ages are welcome.
