Audubon 4th Street Overlook

The 4th Street Overlook was conceived in the 1960s as a place for the public to quietly observe Morro Bay and particularly the birds which can be seen from this fine vantage point. The wooden Overlook structure was built in 1974, and has served the community and visitors for over 40 years. Because the wood has deteriorated significantly, plans are underway to replace the Overlook with a nearly identical structure. If permitting and fundraising efforts are successful, a new structure should be in place by fall 2019.

Please respect our Overlook neighbors by keeping noise to a minimum and smoking is not permitted.

The 4th Street Overlook is located at the northeastern terminus of 4th Steet in Los Osos. On foot, walk past the guard rail at the bay-end of 4th Street on a footpath, the Overlook structure will be on your right. By car, proceed to the northeastern end of 3rd Street and take a right on the gravel road that will lead to the parking lot.
