Welcome to Morro Coast Audubon’s Field Trip Page!
We are pleased to offer 6 to 8+ field trips a month to birding hotspots throughout SLO County. These trips are led by experienced leaders who enjoy sharing their knowledge and their love of birds with other interested birders. Two of the monthly trips are usually designated as “Members Only” which is a good reason to become a member of our chapter.
These trips are very popular and because we normally can only accommodate 12 people, we choose the lucky participants by lottery.
20 days before the scheduled field trip date, it is posted to the MCAS Events Calendar, website, and Facebook. Sometimes, short-notice trips pop up, so be sure to become a member of MCAS and receive automatic alerts for all trips and other events. If you are not a member, you can join MCAS ALERT via JOIN MCAS ALERT EMAIL LIST in the Footer of the MCAS website and/or SLOCOBIRDING via Groups.io to receive field trip alerts.
