FIELD TRIP:             Morro Strand State Park Winter Shorebirds

TIME:                         9 – 11:30 AM

Trip is limited to 12 participants.

Identification of Shorebirds will be our goal as we walk along Morro Strand and explore the seasonal pools that often have an amazing variety of species. We hope to see gulls, terns, and shorebirds and learn to identify our most common winter visitors. Walk will be on flat beach with some areas of deep sand. Expect to walk 1 – 2 miles at a slow pace. 

Experience Level: Beginning to Intermediate.

To participate, please email Robbie Revel, Field Trip committee at Robbie@morrocoastaudubon.org to request and receive a confirmed reservation for this field trip. Exact meeting location will be given to those with confirmed reservations. 

Wear hat, sturdy walking shoes and dress in layers as it can be cool and windy. Bring binoculars, sunscreen, water and snacks as needed. Restrooms are available in the Morro Strand Campground. Rain cancels
