Trip is limited to 12 participants. A waiting list will be started once the trip is full.

Enjoy a morning bird walk along the Boardwalk with MCAS Field Trip leaders, Kaaren and Freddy, to study wintering shorebirds and migrants before they migrate to their breeding grounds in the north. We will also look for the small grebes that often visit our harbors, and the land birds occupying the coastal sage scrub habitat. It is a short walk of about one mile on a boardwalk and dirt path. Bring binoculars, field guide and a scope would be very useful. Hats and sunscreen are suggested along with dressing for possible cool and windy conditions. Restrooms are available in the State Park campground and adjacent to Bay Cafe. Rain cancels.

Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate
