TIME:                   8:30am - 10:30am

Join leader, Mike Bush, for birding the bluffs at Montaña de Oro State Park. Mike is not only an excellent birder and photographer, but is also a native plant expert. Our trail follows the sea-bluffs along the south shore of Spooner’s Cove and south along the rocky coast. The rocky coast here presents spectacular views, great surf and an amazing display of geology. Expect rock-loving shorebirds, water birds and raptors. Includes 1-2 miles of slow walking.

Bring a hat, water, snacks, sunscreen, binoculars and field guides (if you have them) and dress in layers to accommodate wind and changing weather. Sturdy shoes are recommended. Scopes are welcomed. Restrooms are available. Rain cancels.

Experience Level: All Levels Welcome
