DATE:                  Saturday, February 25, 2023

TIME:                   4:00pm - 6:00pm

Trip is limited to 15 participants - Signups will be taken for 24 hours. 15 participants will be randomly selected. The remainder will be put on standby status in case of cancellations.

We’ll watch as the sun sets and birds of prey species change from the diurnal to the nocturnal. There’s a steep, short incline at the start, then the terrain turns to rolling hills and easy trails. As Rodent Central, this area is frequented by harriers, falcons, and kites during the day, then possible Short-Eared Owls and Great Horned Owls at dusk.

Bring a hat, water, snacks, binoculars and field guides (if you have them) and dress in layers to accommodate wind and changing weather. Sturdy shoes are recommended. This trail is rated “moderate”. Restrooms are not available. Rain cancels.
