FIELD TRIP:       Birding in the de Anza Watershed

                              Atascadero Mutual Water Company property

DATE:                  Friday, May 19  or  Saturday, May 20

TIME:                   7:30AM to 10:00 AM

LEADER:            Roger Zachary

Trip is limited to 12 participants - Signups will be taken for 24 hours. 12 participants will be randomly selected. The remainder will be put on standby status in case of cancellations. If you are able to come during the week, please sign up for the Friday trip, leaving the weekend available for the folks that work during the week.

DESCRIPTION: We will be “birding” in mixed oak woodland and riparian woodland along the Salinas River. We should be able to identify approximately 35 species. We will be walking on level road & sandy riverbed for about 1 mile.

Remember to wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, water, and your own binoculars. The week following the field trip I will email out a list of the birds we saw.

There are no water or restroom facilities at the site, Home Depot and Starbucks are the closest facilities. Rain cancels.
