Spring 2016 Education Outreach

Members of Morro Coast Audubon Society (MCAS) Education Committee spent a wonderful Spring visiting classrooms throughout the county, and leading bird walks for the students and their families.

During the month of April bird walks were lead for nine third-grade classrooms at Vineyard Elementary School in Templeton.

Other events during the Spring season included leading field trips in Paso Robles for YouthWorks, 4-H youngsters, and their families.

Ten classroom presentations of our "Birds In Your Neighborhood" program were given at various elementary schools in Cayucos, Cambria, and Morro Bay this spring.

This committee of extremely dedicated men and women delight in sharing their love of birds and other wildlife with teachers, students, and their families. Each and every one of these individuals helped to promote the mission of MCAS to protect birds, wildlife, and the environment of our earth.

Huge thanks from MCAS to Karen Beckman, Bart Beckman, Vicky Johnsen, Kathleen Kent, Jackie Knowlton, Ann Little, Teddy Llovet, Kaaren Perry, Audrey Weichert, and Kyle Weichert for reaching over 500 boys and girls in SLO county during the Spring of 2016!
