Morro Bay CBC and Carrizo Plain CBC
Morro Bay
This year's Morro Bay Christmas Bird Count (CBC) is scheduled for Saturday, December 17th. Online registration will open on November 1st on the Morro Coast Audubon website. We ask that you please register before Saturday December 3rd so that Area Leaders can assign participants to cover all 54 sectors in the count circle. All experience levels are welcome, and once you participate you'll want to come back and do it again next year!
Due to Covid-19, we will inform registrants of any protocols via our CBC webpage in early December.
The compilation will be held virtually via Zoom. Results will also be posted on the MCAS website as soon as the Compiler and Area Leaders have tallied the results from Count Day.
Carrizo Plain
The Carrizo Plain CBC will be held on Saturday, December 31st from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a chance to bird before and after.
