FIELD TRIP: Heron and Egret Rookery Watch

TIME: 8:30 am - 10:30am

Trip is limited to 15 participants. Signups will be taken for 24 hours.15 participants will be randomly selected. The remainder will be put on standby status in case of cancellations.
Description: Join us on a short walk through the Heron Rookery in Morro Bay State Park to learn about the courtship rituals and nesting habits of Great Blue Herons, Great and Snowy Egrets and other residents of the rookery. This is an easy walk of 1/2 mile along the dirt trail that leads through the rookery.
Wear sturdy walking shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water and snacks as needed. Bring binoculars and dress in layers. Scopes and cameras welcomed. Restrooms are available. Rain cancels.
