Field Trip: Cloisters Park Easy Birding
Date: Thursday, August 7, 2025
Time: 10:00am to 12:00 Noon

Description: Cloisters Park features a pond and a well-maintained walking path, offering excellent birding opportunities. Species commonly seen include White- and Golden-crowned Sparrows, California Thrasher, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and Black-crowned Night-Heron. The pond also attracts migratory ducks and geese, and during this time of year, Cliff Swallows can be observed nesting under the eaves of the park's restrooms. The walk is approximately 2 miles along a flat asphalt path, fully accessible for those using wheelchairs, walkers, or canes.
This field trip is ADA accessible, bathrooms are available, and the trip is open to all levels of experience.
